The headlines are currently dominated by the spread of coronavirus in Europe, therefore the UK Government, together with the NHS have advised some simple and effective precautions to help protect your family and yourself against this infection. Whilst the chances of contracting the Coronavirus in the UK are low, these precautions will also help to protect against other flu-like illnesses.
Recommendations are to:
- Always carry tissues with you and use them to catch your cough or sneeze. Then bun the tissue immediately and wash your hands or use a sanitiser gel.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after using public transport. Use a sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Avoid close contact with people who are unwell.
